The Sonnet story contains five characters:

the Poet, (P)
a Fair Young Man (FYM),
a Dark Lady (DL),
a Rival Poet (RP)
and the ever-ticking Time.
Some say the Poet, the FYM, and the DL are involved
in a Love Triangle and are specific historical figures.
Others say the sonnets are purely conventional poetic exercises.
